Element 1 will host a series of three dance workshops starting this Saturday Sept 18. In order to attend them, you must be a paid official member of Element 1. Dues are $10 dollars and will be collected at the door. Before you leave, you will be given 2 cds, one with music in mp3 formats and the other with videos to help you learn. You can specify whether you want breakin or popping cds, or both sets (it will cost an extra $1 dollar to get both). You are free to make copies of these cd's and distribute them to your friends.
The purpose of these workshops is to introduce the foundations and different components of breakin and the funk styles (popping). Each workshop will introduce new moves, but will review the moves of the previous workshops. Don't worry if you have to miss one because I promise that you won't hopelessly fall behind. The two hours will be split in half, one being dedicated to breakin and the other to the funk styles. You are free to participate in only one, or try out both.

Day 2, *still unofficial because pending signs of good weather, @ the Diag, free admission
This event is not related to the dance workshops, but is the reason that the final workshop is delayed for a week. Element 1 will be busy hosting our bboying and popping event. We encourage everyone to check out the event. It's the only time of the year that you will be able to walk to such a dope event, in under probably 10-15 mins of where you live.

Room: Dance Room
At the final workshop, those who would like to continue to practice and learn can signup for the Elementor program where you will be matched up with a mentor and other peers to foster learning.
